Prior to painting your man made rubber head, spray it with a high level form of hair spray - such as super extra hold. This will create a barrier between the rubber and the paint. Please remember this is rubber and not skin, which skin secretes oils that lift pigments from the skin and raises them to the surface. If you leave the paint on for any length of time, it is likely to leave some form of residue (stain). Please be aware that no matter what brand and/or product you choose to use, some pigments are so intense (for more vivid colors) they will likely cause some staining. The best method is to paint and remove it as soon as possible. Tried and true method of removing color from the rubber head: 1) New Dawn Dish Washing Detergent, with a Doobie (little green dish scrubber) and warm water; or 2) Acetone (straight Nail Polish Remover - No Lanolin in it), then wash off with warm soap & water. Both of these methods are very effective in residue removal, But, please remember . . . this is a rubber head, not flesh . . . it will not respond the same way skin does.
